Drama
We say
Drama is the new quirky and avant garde single from London-based singer-songwriter My Life As A Moth. Regular readers will know we have been impressed with the eccentric and poetic nature of her debut EP, Chest Of Dress Up (over 250k streams), which she released earlier this year in March. With echoes of Kate Bush, Fiona Apple and PJ Harvey, the Rob Ellis (PJ Harvey, Anna Calvi), Adrian Utley (Portishead) and Ben Christophers (Bat For Lashes) produced EP gained plaudits and support from BBC 6 Music (Radcliffe and Maconie), Absolute Radio, Amazing Radio, BBC Wales, The Revue, Clout and many more. Teaming up, once again, with the same production trio, My Life As A Moth delivers another bewitching dose of leftfield pop. Deserving of spins at 6 Music and Radio 2, Drama would also find a place on experimental alt-pop playlists at DSPs. Watch the video here. Having played a sold-out headline show at Paper Dress Vintage in London in April, she will headline The Lower Third on 6 December. There is no one quite like Life As A Moth on the contemporary music scene at the moment, and we can’t wait to hear what she has next for us.
