You Can Go
We say
We’ve been keeping an eye on songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tara Lily since she impressed us with the track 4 Years and her Lost In London EP last year. Growing up in a Bengali/British family in Peckham, the classically trained jazz musician delves deeper into her South Asian heritage on her second EP, Last Flight Out, which is out today. The EP marries the sounds of East and West with the fusion of jazz, alt R&B, Indian classical, dance and more. It’s a sublime listen. This brilliantly rich R&B track with flourishes of sitar and saxophone against a vibrant backdrop of Afro/House kicks is the new single and showcases Tara’s gorgeous vocals perfectly. Early DSP playlist support has come from Spotify, but we expect to hear this featured on New Pop/R&B and chilled playlists. With previous radio support from Gilles Peterson, Jamz Supernova, 1Xtra Introducing, and BBC Asian Network, future plays of this gem are surely a given. We highly recommend you check out Tara Lily as we believe she has everything to become a star, and with the Observer picking her as One To Watch this weekend, we are not the only ones.
