Eraser is the beautifully haunting and cinematic single from Dublin-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Katie Kim. The Choice Music Award nominee wrote and recorded the track while moving to New York and subsequently mixed after returning to Ireland during the pandemic. Backed by eerie strings, an orchestra of synthesizers, and live minimalist-style drums, the song tells a story of longing and the desperation of something different. Produced, arranged and recorded with long-time collaborator John “Spud” Murphy (Lankum & Black Midi), the track is from her forthcoming sixth album (Hour Of The Ox - out next month) and will conclude her work under the Katie Kim moniker. Masterfully evocative and expansive, this moody number is perfect for sync purposes on TV and film, along with plays at 6 Music and additions to those ethereal alternative playlists.
