Trippin’
We say
Driven by a haunting vocal hook, catchy bass line and a hip-hop beat, Trippin’ is the latest release from Northampton-born and London-based songwriter, instrumentalist and performer Eden Lole. It’s the third single from Eden we have featured here at RotD, following the brilliant No Label and the soulful Why Don’t You Know. This time around, the song is a more playful one but still full of the sass and attitude we love. With previous tastemaker support from Gemma Bradley at BBC Radio 1, Amazing Radio US, Sofar Sounds, Stereofox, and Honey Pop, to name just a few, Trippin’ is deserving of more support at Radio 1. It would sound perfect on editorial playlists at DSPs featuring the likes of Mahalia, Joy Crookes, Pip Millett, Jorja Smith and Amy Winehouse. Eden will perform a set at the Hoxton Underbelly in London on 14 July before playing at Latitude Festival the following week.
