Road From Nevada
We say
23 year old Essex-based country singer-songwriter Roisin O’Hagan is back with her follow up single to the RotD featured Sunset Valley. Having spent much of April in Nashville recording the final parts for her debut EP, meeting collaborating musicians in person rather than remotely and spending time in writing sessions with writers from Riser Publishing, the Chelmsford-born artist released this confident slice of Americana last week. Mixed by Billy Decker, Road From Nevada is one of those odes steeped in classic country roots but with a pop-crossover tinge. She can already count Countryline, Absolute Country, BBC Introducing and BBC Essex as supporters of her music, so expect to hear this spun on-air over the coming week. Having picked up previous support across numerous third-party country playlists, we reckon this gem is deserving of more support at DSPs. This summer, she will be performing at the Tennessee Fields main stage and is looking to book more shows and festival appearances soon. With more tracks to come from her debut EP over the coming months, this is one country artist you need to keep tabs on for the future.
