Dublin-born, Berlin-based singer-songwriter Lucy McWilliams is another artist worthy of your attention at the Great Escape this week. The 22 year old is an artist we have been keeping an eye on since she impressed us with this slice of soulful pop, backed by a bossa nova inspired beat back in September 2020. The track followed her debut Fair Play ft. Malaki and alongside single You Know, has seen the Irish artist amass over 11.5m streams, national radio play and tastemaker support from Earmilk, Wonderland, Hot Press, Nialler 9, District Magazine and Songwriting Magazine, to name just a few. With a fresh and forward-thinking dynamic, Lucy McWilliams is offering a new take on soulful pop that showcases her skills both as a songwriter and as a vocalist.
