Garbage Love
We say
Led by singer and guitarist India Coombs and accompanied by longtime songwriting partner Jon Joseph, All Things Blue are a dream-punk duo from LA. They combine the classic pop sensibilities of the Ronettes and the Beach Boys with the lucid psych-pop of Melody's Echo Chamber and La Luz. In 2020, we highlighted the band's luxuriously washed-out second single Dicking Around. After that, the duo picked up tastemaker praise for their debut album Get Bit from the Line of Best Fit, Clash, NPR, Stereogum, Dork Magazine, So Young Magazine, NME and DIY Magazine, to name just a few. Now back with their new three-track EP Nothing Special and this gorgeously woozy ode, All Things Blue contemplate love, backed by lilting guitars, delicate synths and psych-imbued production. The song is a lush, hooky and genuinely adorable affair that would be perfect for alternative and dreamy contextual playlists at DSPs and spins on 6 Music and on Jack Saunders’ Radio 1 show. Brilliant stuff.
