We do love a dose of intimate pop here at RotD, and rising singer-songwriter Cassa Jackson’s latest offering, Sophie, ticks all the right boxes - honest, soulful and infectious. Drawing inspiration from Miley Cyrus, Halsey and Dua Lipa, the London-based artist has been building a loyal fanbase with her brand of sassy and relatable music. Along the way, she has amassed over 8m Spotify streams, 165k TikTok followers and was nominated for an iHeart Radio Music Award for TikTok Songwriter of the Year. While two tracks from her debut EP, He’s No You, featured on CW’s sci-fi TV series Pandora and led to her appearing on the show as a special guest. This vibrant pop gem, full of emotive lyrics, warm melodies and addictive vocal hooks, is her latest offering and shows why she has built a loyal following. Tonight (30 March), she will be headlining Omeara in London for a one-off show before embarking on a full UK tour in May. Sassy and polished pop for the masses.
