Let us introduce you to the world of audio visual artist and performer Ruby Tingle. Ruby is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist working with progressive electronic based in Manchester. She has exhibited and performed her work across the UK and Europe at venues, including at Saatchi Gallery, Manchester Art Gallery, 48 Hours Neukolln, Axel Orbinger Berlin, Art Basel, HOME, sluice___ and Chethams Library. Having released music and performed at Glastonbury as part of the cinematic bass act Dirty Freud, Flood is the first single from her forthcoming debut solo EP, Lagoons. Exploring the romance of dancing alone at night in an imagined wetlands, Flood is an ethereal delight, blending electronica with orchestral and cinematic arrangements with whimsy that recalls Kate Bush at her finest. Early support has come from online tastemakers Cool Hunting, XS Noize, Find A Song and Vents magazine, among others. Her EP is to be released later this month in conjunction with her public gallery exhibition at Warrington Museum and Art Gallery, with the remaining four EP tracks based around the museum’s collection of amphibians and reptiles. Atmospheric and surreal alt-pop for those who like their music a bit leftfield.
