Painting a tender portrait of young love with glowing harmonies and sun-dappled aural synths, Jenny is the latest single from songwriter and producer Barrie Lindsay. Taken from her forthcoming album, Barbara, and inspired in part by James Taylor and Blake Mills, the track tells the tale of Barrie falling in love with her wife Gabby. It’s a beautifully tender and intimate ode that is sure to warm anyone’s heart, especially if you are a fan of ’90s college rock. Early tastemaker support has come from Stereogum following previous praise from NPR Music, Nylon, Paper, Far Out magazine, the Line Of Best Fit, and many more. Next month, Barrie will be over in the UK to play a series of live shows across the country, including a show at Rough Trade East in London on 31 March, so if you are free, we recommend you pop down.
