Electro Junction
We say
Back in October last year, we introduced you to east London-based Swedish alternative artist My Life As A Moth and the infectiously eccentric Chest Of Dress Up. Quickly finding tastemaker support online with Clout, When The Horn Blows and She Makes Music, plus radio support from Absolute Radio, Amazing Radio US and BBC Radio Wales, the track has amassed over 60k streams. Released earlier this week, Electro Junction is the second instalment from her Chest Of Dress Up EP recorded at Vada Studios with Rob Ellis (PJ Harvey, Anna Calvi), Adrian Utley (Portishead) and Ben Christophers (Bat For Lashes) at the helm of production. This intricate and avant-garde pop number sees My Life As A Moth show another side to her music with a wistful blend of organic percussion, delicate strings and earworm melodies. It’s a lush affair that combines the quirkiness of Bjork with the ethereal storytelling of Kate Bush for a thoroughly enjoyable and addictive listen. The track has already picked up support from IAMUR, All Music Magazine and She Makes Music and would be perfect for spins on 6 Music and Radio 2, along with additions to left of centre alternative playlists at DSPs. Watch the CLUMP Collective directed video here. On 22 March, My Life As A Moth will make her debut London headline show at Paper Dress Vintage, so we would highly recommend you mark this on your calendar.
