Today’s Ones To Watch 2022 is the fast-rising 22 year old artist Natasha Woods, aka Dylan. It’s been a remarkable last six months for the Suffolk-born singer, who has dramatically increased her following and tastemaker support with her recent releases. The singles, Nineteen, Someone Else, and this cheeky blast of pop goodness have led to some serious increases across TikTok (from 278k to 446k), Instagram (12k to 105k), and Spotify (12k to 82k). While, BBC Radio 1 has also come out in support of her, alongside press praise from Clash, Popjustice, The Line of Best Fit, Dork, Notion and many others for her brand of dark indie-pop vibes. At streaming, she has been featured on editorial playlists at Spotify (NMF, teen beats, Singled Out, The Pop List) and Apple Music (NMD, A-List Pop, Pop Deluxe). It’s great to see, as we’ve been keenly tracking her since she came to our attention in 2020 with her track Your Issues. Last autumn, she supported Griff across a few UK and Ireland shows, played her first sold-out headline show at Camden Assembly and toured with fellow RotD Ones To Watch 2022 artist Thomas Headon. This February, Dylan is set to go out on her first sold-out headline tour. Now, what we love about Dylan is her ability to seamlessly blend her love of Taylor Swift and break-up anthems with the grungy shade of songwriting and big pop overtures to create infectious bangers for everyone. Everything is in place to see her star rise further in 2022.
