Don’t Care
We say
Back in June, we introduced you to indie-pop artist Mazey Haze, the moniker of 21 year old Amsterdam-based artist Nadine Appeldoorn, and her gorgeously blissed-out debut single, Sad Lonely Groove. Since then, she has been building up tastemaker support from Notion, Clash, Beats Per Minute, and Indie Shuffle, to name a few. Alongside some serious support at Spotify with editorial playlist support in Europe. Released last week, and featuring across Spotify New Music Friday playlists in Europe, Don’t Care is the final single to be lifted from her debut EP Always Dancing. Backed by a sprightly indie-rock instrumental, the song is a richly textured, evocative, and lyrically bruising track; with Mazey searching for light amidst the darkness. Watch the brilliant 70s themed video directed by Pasqual Amade here. Next month, she will be playing across Holland, but for those of you planning to attend Eurosonic next year, you can catch her there.
