What It’s Like feat. Fonzie
We say
Drenched in soulful tones and jazz-inflected percussion, What It’s Like is the new single from west London singer-songwriter Alichè. Inspired by her father’s love of jazz and her mother’s free-for-all Southbank shows, Alichè learnt to play multiple instruments (trumpet, piano, violin) before setting on singing as her musical outlet at the age of 12. Since finishing her studies at Kilburn’s Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, Alichè has been honing her craft by performing across the capital at club venues like Soho House, 180 House, and The Ned, as well as learning to mix, engineer and produce music. Her previous releases, including By Surprise, has seen her music praised by Atwood, Wonderland and 1883 Magazine. This Friday (15 October) will see her release this smooth and laidback ode featuring Fonzie. Perfect for mellow and new R&B/soul playlists at streaming services, What It’s Like is another impressive addition to her catalogue and will feature on her forthcoming EP in November.
