September
We say
Sung with only a piano for accompaniment amidst minimal production and haunting backing vocals, September is the latest release from Italian-born London-based singer-songwriter Alice Pisano. Produced by John Foyle (Maisie Peters, Years & Years), the track, written by Alice, is an intimate affair, touching on the bittersweet feeling of the end of summer and love. With its thick emotional ambiance, it’s perfect for mood and acoustic-driven contextual playlists at streaming services or Love Island if it was still on the air. Her previous single and RotD-featured Open Up was picked up as the soundtrack for the Hollyoaks’ summer trailer, while other releases have caught the attention of tastemakers like Clash, Wonderland, BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and Spotify (14 NMF + over 5m streams). Next month, Alice will be performing at Liverpool Sound City and then in London at the Servant Jazz Quarters on 14 October.
