Hypnotic, infectious and packed with so much energy, this latest release from London-based artist Alewya is hugely noteworthy and demands your attention right from the off. Indebted to the sounds and communal embrace of the rave, the track draws on the restless rhythms of drum 'n' bass to drive this mesmerising and powerful dose of smooth electronic dance music. The track was produced by Alewya herself and released last week via Because London Records - a new era of legendary label London Records now part of the Because Music Group. Spirit_X quickly made an impression at streaming with editorial playlist support at Apple Music, Deezer, Amazon and Spotify, including New Music Friday, Altar, Cratediggers and Top Shelf Electronic. Previous radio support has come from Radio 1 (Annie Mac, Jack Saunders, Toddla T), 1 Xtra (DJ Target), 6 Music (Lauren Laverne, Mary Anne Hobbs, Giles Peterson) and Apple Music (Matt Wilkinson).
