Too Many Times
We say
Following last year’s deliciously clubby dark pop ode and RotD Cut You With A Kiss, London-based artist Salt Ashes is back with this emotionally charged and edgy electronic offering. Taken from her forthcoming second album and written with and produced by Louis Souyave (who worked on her previous single and EP), Too Many Times is an introspective journey influenced by ’80s British synth-pop and inspired by the anxieties of the pandemic and personal loss. With its changing blend of lush synth melodies and crashing percussion, alongside Salt Ashes’ emotive vocals, it’s easy to get lost in the drama and headspace of the writers. Later this month, she will be releasing her self-directed accompanying music video, so keep a close eye on her YouTube channel. Having already made an impression on tastemakers Noisey, Guardian, the Line of Best Fit, Wonderland, Radio 1, 1Xtra and more, Salt Ashes has delivered another slick, inventive and infectious track to garner further praise.
