Tommy
We say
Canadian artist RALPH has been wooing fans in her homeland since 2017 with her brand of catchy pop. Billboard, Nylon, Fader and Vogue are all fans, and Elle Canada named her a 'Noise Maker' of 2021. Plus, her 2020 track Gravity was nominated for a Juno for Dance Recording of the Year. Now, back with this vibrant and infectious bop, her first of 2021, RALPH is taking things up a level or two. Much like her Canadian counterpart Carly Rae Jepsen’s hit Call Me Maybe, Tommy is an absolute earworm with its shimmering guitars, shuffling beat and some serious hooks. Written about a missed connection and pining after them, the track has already made a considerable impression on tastemakers, with the Line of Best Fit, Refinery29, Paper Mag, MTV and Hollywood Life singing its praise. It was immediately added to numerous new release programming at Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music last week, and we doubt this will be the end of editorial support either as the track picks up momentum. A buoyant slice of pop that is hard to resist.
