We are big fans of Brighton-based singer-songwriter Fable, having featured the excellent Stranger In My Head in 2014 and the Paul Hartnoll produced/co-written track Human Pretending in 2016. Now returning after a five-year break following the tragic loss of a close friend, Fable follows up her raucous and anthemic recent single Thirsty with this hauntingly stark, yet hopeful dose of trip-hop laden neo-soul. Premiered on Chris Hawkins 6 Music show, Orbiting has since received spins by fellow 6 Music DJ’s Lauren Laverne and Radcliffe & Maconie, along with plays on BBC Introducing, Radio X and Amazing Radio. Later this year, Fable is set to release her debut album of genre-fluid, searingly honest and darkly beautiful music that spans from urgent post-punk to introspective electronic, and we can’t wait.
