Seba Safe is the alias of emerging Irish singer-songwriter Michael d’Alton. Backed by a sound that encompasses the sparse folk-pop of Maggie Rodgers to the modern production of Dermot Kennedy and the elegance of Bon Iver, he crafts candidly honest odes about personal relationships, love, loss and change. Over the past year, he has released three singles, including the original to this gorgeously stripped back affair that is destined for additions to chill-out playlists. Along the way, he has gained plaudits from the Irish Times, Hotpress and Nialler9 among others. Plus, editorial support at Spotify and radio spins from BBC Radio 1/BBC Introducing (Gemma Bradley), 6 Music (Steve Lamacq) and RTE 2FM. With more releases to come in 2021 and a rescheduled debut Irish headline gig in the autumn (which has been upscaled due to demand), Seba Safe is a new Irish talent to keep an eye on in 2021.
