Upside Down
We say
It’s been ten months since we introduced you to London-born singer-songwriter Jacob Browne with his polished pop offering Places To Go. During this time, the 25 year old has built up over 500k combined streams with the release of his debut album Into The Rain and seen him head back into the studio over the summer to record new material. Written with and produced by Luke Potter, Upside Down is the first of the new songs to be released this year, and what a way to kick start 2021 off. With its infectious guitar hook, singalong chorus and lush production, this anthemic blast of upbeat pop, in the vein of Imagine Dragons meets Shawn Mendes, is an absolute gem. In a time, where we are wondering what’s up and what’s down still, this hooky slice of pop from an unsigned artist is just the shimmering light we need now. With more material to come in March and showcase gigs when restrictions are lifted in London, this is one artist to keep an eye on.
