The Algea
We say
Back in October last year, we enthusiastically spoke about rising Nottinghamshire talent Chloe Rodgers after she blew our minds with the ethereal odyssey Faces. Since then, she has continued to make new music, alongside her work with Scandinavian collective Twenty Committee, and late last year dropped this gorgeous slice of baroque pop. Filled with pulsing strings, sweeping production, and her own dreamy vocals penetrating every subtle bar, this new release hints at her love for Thom Yorke’s lyrical and musical prowess, while also maintaining her distinct style. Praised by the likes of the Line of Best Fit, Notion, Earmilk, Wonderland, Refinery29 and the Most Radicalist among others for her latest release, Chloe is quickly finding tastemaker support and building a loyal fanbase for her bright and dreamy aesthetic. All in all, it is quite simply marvellous and Chloe is someone that should on your radar.
