Our next Ones To Watch 2021 this week is 23 year old north London singer Mae Muller. We’ve been following Mae since falling for her edgy R&B sounds of Jenny back in 2018 and featured this rising songwriting talent at the start of last year, with her now biggest song to date, Therapist (50m+ streams). Since then, she has continued to gain more plaudits for her frank, witty and relatable songs, culminating in the release of her no one else, not even you EP that features this slick dose of pop with lead single dependent. On the live front, she has sold out her headline UK tour (pre-pandemic), including Heaven in London, and then in the summer supported Liam Payne on his livestream and filmed a full live show of her postponed November headline slot at the O2 Forum Kentish Town for fans. With over 130m combined streams, Mae has found support at Radio 1, Radio 2, BBC Introducing, Apple Music, Kiss Fresh and RTE 2FM. Along the way, she has picked up tastemaker praise the likes of Vogue, GQ, Guardian, Fader, Paper, the Line of Best Fit, Complex and i-D among others, plus streaming features at Spotify (Radar Artist) and Apple Music (New Artist of the Week).
