Last month, we introduced you to London-based artist Kitty Montague and her soul-pop single Bad Boy. The track went on to pick up tastemaker support from the likes of Notion, FMS Magazine, and Eat This Music, as well as radio plays on BBC Introducing Kent. Now she is back with her follow-up, which sees the singer focus on the comfort blanket of relationships rather than the toxic side of them. Capturing you from the very first moment, Always On My Mind offers a delicate fusion of immersive soundscapes, gentle pop beats and those so soulful vocals. It’s a gorgeously introspective affair, deserving playlist support on soul-filled R&B and chill contextual playlists. She was due to play a number of socially distances shows across the capital this month, but with the latest lockdown rules, these have been put on hold for the moment while she looks to arrange livestream alternatives. A blissful and poetic gem from a young artist growing in confidence.
