Released on Friday (23 October) and featuring on Spotify UK’s New Music Friday playlist, Healthy is the latest single from Galway-born singer-songwriter and RotD-featured artist LAOISE. We last featured her brooding electro-pop back in April last year but after a period of almost quitting music during lockdown, she sought therapy and is now back with a softer and smoother pop sound. Reflecting on healthier ways to approach life, love and relationships, Healthy sees LAOISE maintain her playfulness but this time there’s a soulful, vibrant bounce to her beat-driven melodies too. Tastemaker support has come from the likes of the Independent, Hotpress, and When The Horn Blows among others. Next year she will be releasing her debut EP independently, but in the meantime, let us enjoy this vibrant slice of infectious pop.
