Dreamer Boy is the alias of songwriter Zachary Arthur Taylor, who’s currently residing in Nashville. As a kid he grew up listening to a host of inspiring musicians including James Taylor, Kanye West, the Beach Boys and the Beatles as well as gospel music. You don’t have to listen too closely to hear all of those cool influences seeping through on this deliciously trippy track which comes hot on the heels of his previous single from earlier this year, Know You. Premiered by Zane Lowe on Wednesday night on Beats 1, the lyrics here detail his feelings of love, friendship and courage that came as a cathartic release of emotion, all pouring out following a psychedelic experience. An album is due next spring. Meanwhile, style press around the world is watching him closely, not just musically but visually too. The video gives you a sense of where he's heading as an artist.
