It all kicked off in his native country before finding success on TikTok, generating 1.7m video creations and 1bn TikTok views, and is now receiving massive support here in the UK and US. It’s been in the UK Top 40 for four weeks, having been supported by Bauer Hits, Capital, Virgin and Radio 1, and has entered the top 25 of the Hot AC radio charts over in the US. With over 130m global streams, it’s rapidly climbing the global charts across streaming platforms thanks to key additions to prime playlists. It’s easy to see why, at its heart, This City is a touching and heartfelt number that many of us can relate too. Like Lewis Capaldi (whom he supported last year), James TW and Calum Scott, Sam has this wonderful ability to transmute painful feelings into beautiful masterpieces. He's a huge prospect for 2020.
