We say
London-based Irish artist Fia Moon offers a glimpse of positivity in this gorgeous slice of atmospheric pop. Co-written with established songwriters Rob Harvey (Clean Bandit, Jess Glynne, Tom Walker, Rudimental, The Streets) and Lewis Thompson (Just Kiddin, Joel Corry), better days is a tale of loss, self-doubt and insomnia, while also expressing perseverance and determination to never give up. From its sombre verses to its uplifting and upbeat chorus, the production is spot on, marrying light and dark tones perfectly. Upon release last week, it was immediately added to Spotify UK and Deezer UK new release programming, as well as Spotify’s Chilled Pop Hits, New Pop Revolution, Fresh Finds, and A Breath of Fresh Eire editorial playlists. Strong radio support has come from her homeland with RTÉ 2FM (Track of the Week), iRadio (First Play Track of the Week), Today FM, Spin103.8, FM104, 98FM and Cork96’s FM all giving it numerous spins. With another five singles to come this year and supporters at Clash, the Irish Times, Earmilk and Nialler9 too, Fia Moon is shaping up to have a big year ahead. One to watch.
