One of Germany’s most exciting newcomers, ÄTNA have been kicking up a storm over the past year with their opulent and avant-garde pop. With over 10 million combined streams for their music, the boy-girl duo have picked up serious support at Spotify (NMF, Off Pop) in their native country as well as numerous additions to various international editorial playlists like Most Beautiful Songs In The World and Indie Shuffle. Ahead of their recent performance at Eurosonic this week, they released this gorgeous left-field pop number which recalls elements of Haim and Christine and the Queens. Featuring on Spotify Germany and Switzerland's New Music Friday playlists, as well as Germany's Apple Music New Music Daily, Made By Desire is the title-track to their debut album out on Valentine’s Day on German indie label Humming Records, the first European home to internationally acclaimed artists such as Josef Salvat, Cloud Control, Wankelmut or K.Flay. With a knack for crafting memorable melodies and hooks, the duo will be taking their sound on tour across the GSA region over the next couple of months, but we will have to wait a while yet to see them on these shores as there are no plans for shows, which is a shame as we reckon they would go down rather well.
