This honest and tender track is the latest offering from Leamington Spa singer-songwriter Joe Dolman - an artist who we supported twice last year with his heartwarming and intimate acoustic-led tracks, Drag You Down and Happy For You. Released today (8 January) on frtyfve, The Middle sees the rising artist effortlessly combine an infectious guitar lick with a sombre piano melody for a somewhat upbeat and touching number. Perfect for melancholic contextual playlisting, as well as new release programming, the track is another radio friendly gem with Joe’s voice taking centre stage. Previous radio support has come from Radio 1 (Huw Stephens), Radio 2 (Janice Long), Amazing Radio, and BBC Introducing (Track of the Week & Band of the Month), while playlist features have come from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and Deezer. Next month (27 February) he plays the O2 Academy2 Islington, having performed at the Great Escape, Wilderness Festival and Live at Heart Sweden 2019 (also confirmed for 2020) last year. With more releases to come this year, The Middle is a gorgeous start to the new year.
