Back in July last year, we introduced you to the south London music and art collective, Studio Black and their sublime chilled banger Friends Don’t Kiss Friends, featuring the recent RotD Ones To Watch 2020 artist Emily Burns. Produced with Nastylgia (Not3s, Nadia Rose) and biLLLy (Suzi Wu, Lao Ra), the track has clocked up over 10.5m global streams for the collective since its release as part of Collection1 ­­– 37 Adventures’ 100th release. Now fellow label and RotD featured producer/artist Measure For Measure has got his hands on the track for this fuller and warm remix. In comes sweeping lush synths, shimmering electronic hooks and bursts of colourful pop goodness, all woven together by an R&B pop vibe. It’s bigger, better and oh so lush. Taken from Measure For Measure’s forthcoming debut EP (29 Jan) on 37 Adventures, this is one track you should add to your new pop playlists and wouldn’t be amiss on contextual pop playlists either.
