Let us take you on a trip into the world of Berlin-based psych-indie-pop four-piece Morioh Sonder. Hailing from various parts of Europe, the group's sound is an expression of the personalities of each band member. The original duo of Alexy and Flavy came together in Italy in 2017 and after meeting drummer Elijah, the band moved to Los Angeles where they began to refine their sound in front of a live audience, before moving to Berlin and meeting bassist Samira. This eclectic blend of styles led the group to record this shimmering blast of psyche indie, full of infectious guitar melodies, quirky vocals and a climactic chorus. Reminiscent of MGMT at their finest and a touch of Arcade Fire grandeur, I Want To Die On My Birthday is their first single to be taken from their debut EP of the same name, recorded at Bewake studio in Berlin with producer Martin ‘Lucky’ Waschkowitsch. Perfect for indie and alternative playlists, this whimsical and upbeat indie-psyche-pop number could very well become your new favourite indie banger.
