We say
Still just 18 years of age, and having amassed almost 10m combined streams across all DSP’s for his first three singles to date, Irish singer-songwriter Curtis Walsh has had quite the journey over the last 12 months. His blend of mellow guitar and piano instrumentation with soft percussion, backed by his heartfelt vocals and intimate lyrics have propelled this young talent to the forefront of YouTube tastemakers like Apeiron, Alexrainbird and Koala, as well as gained major support from Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer and Anghami in the Middle East. Not only that, but radio has also been getting behind him with plays coming from RTE 2FM, BBC Radio 2 and Amazing Radio while there is also growing interest at European radio too. On Friday, he dropped his debut EP Breathe, which contained this gem and was immediately added to Spotify UK New Music Friday and The Pop List editorial playlists. Having supported Tom Walker, James TW, JC Stewart and Omar Apollo already in the UK, he will be announcing his first headline show this month for October in London, so keep your ears peeled for this as this is one artist you need to keep an eye on.
