Montaigne
We say
Striking a perfect balance of confident, guitar-driven indie rock with a gentle desperation, this glorious release is the latest from Sydney-based multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Harry Heart. Born in Walthamstow, London, Harry moved to Queensland as a teenager, where he formed several bands before moving to Sydney to concentrate on his ambitions as a solo artist after garnering praise from Aussie online blogs and support on Triple J. Last year, he dropped his First Endorphin EP that featured on Apple Music’s Best of the Week, picked up radio airplay (Triple J, 6 Music) and led to him touring Australia twice before heading to the UK earlier this year for the Coffee House Session tour (20 shows in two weeks). Taken from his forthcoming Hands in the Hive EP, Montaigne blends his early influences of Bloc Party and Interpol with the heart-breaking heavenly falsetto realms of Bon Iver and Thom Yorke for an emotional and brutally honest number. Life-affirming alternative rock.
