Tunnel Vision
We say
Released today (3 May) and featuring on Spotify's New Music Friday UK playlist, Tunnel Vision is the latest blast of industrial laced rock from sonic anarchists Black Futures. The duo, comprised by Space (producer for Idles) and Vibes, have created something of an anthemic behemoth here with its unrelenting krautrock energy underpinning swelling synths and wild, prophetic vocals. It’s as if QOTSA and Kasabian have had a lovechild. Taken from the duo’s forthcoming debut album Never Not Nothing at the end of August, the track is sure to secure further tastemaker praise from the likes of Kerrang!, NME and Upset who have previously supported, as well as spins from fellow radio fans at Radio 1 (Annie Mac, Daniel P Carter, Phil Taggart), 6 Music (Steve Lamacq) and Radio X. Following the headline tour of the UK last month, which included a sold-out Lexington show, the duo have a packed out summer festival schedule with shows at Boomtown, Download, All Points East, Camden Rocks and Glastonbury festival, but before all this they will support Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes next Tuesday (7 May) at the Village Underground. Raucous, chaotic and euphoric rock.
