After The Sun
We say
Australian singer-songwriter Kim Churchill shapes a rather blissful and uplifting dose of indie-folk in his latest release After The Sun. Recorded in Berlin and produced by experienced house and hip-hop producer Vincent Kottkamp, the track is the first to be taken from his upcoming I AM EP, the first of four EPs which have each been recorded in separate cities around the world, with EPs recorded in Vancouver Island in Canada, the Blue Mountains in Australia, and London to follow. With its gorgeous blend of laidback acoustic instrumentals and subtle electronica, the track featured on Spotify New Music Friday in his native Oz and Canada, as well as their editorial playlists Chilled Afternoon, Indie Arrivals and Contemporary Blend. He’s just dropped his beautiful video shot in Berlin which you can watch here. Following tour dates in his native Australia, Kim will be heading over to Europe to tour this May, including a headline show at the Jazz Café on 28 May. In the meantime, just sit back and bask in this chilled and sun-drenched acoustic anthem. For fans of Ben Howard, James Vincent McMorrow and Bon Iver.
