We say

A.Swayze & the Ghosts are an exhilarating new band from Hobart, Tasmania and this blistering future garage-punk anthem is their debut. Fronted by Andrew Swayze along with his high school friends Hendrik Wipprecht (guitar), Zackary Blain (drums) and Ben Simms (bass), the band are offering a scintillating breath of fresh air to the scene. Full of ferocious guitar licks and an infectious rhythm section, Suddenly is full on energetic rollercoaster ride of emotions. Co-written with Swayze’s wife, Olivia, the song is about gender inequalities still rife in today’s society and is a powerfully forthright perspective from a woman’s point of view. Destined to feature on streaming new release programming this Friday, as well as on alternative playlists, the track is sure to pick up radio traction on the likes of 6 Music, Radio X and specialist shows on Radio 1 in the coming weeks. The band will be coming over to play The Great Escape Festival this May, so expect packed out shows as the momentum builds for one of the best new garage-punk bands we have heard in a long time. Quite simply, blimming amazing.
