We are big fans of Glaswegian indie rock four-piece LUCIA, having featured their brilliant EP title track Cheap Talk back in November, and we aren’t the only ones with the NME, Line of Best Fit, Clash, The Independent, Nylon and DIY all admirers too. They recently dropped this scuzzy belter with dreamy reverb-laden backing vocals and classic dirty guitar riffs to dive into. Produced by Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Adele) and mixed by Charlie Holmes and Mark “Spike” Stent (Ed Sheeran, Muse, Arcade Fire, Florence), the track featured on Spotify UK’s New Music Friday playlist as well as on numerous editorial playlists (The Rock List, All New All Now) and has so far garnered radio plays from Jack Saunders and Huw Stephens at Radio 1. With the video dropping today, we reckon there will be plenty more mentions online and more radio support at Amazing Radio, Radio X and Radio 1 to come for one of the hottest bands in the UK at the moment. Blimming marvellous.
