Following on from their summer release and RotD Party Like It’s Your Birthday, audio-visual collective Studio Killers are back with this hook-laden pop gem. Sounding like it’s from the past as well as the future with its late ‘80s synths and beat elements blending seamlessly with its bouncy modern pop production, Dirty Car has amassed over 300k YouTube views since release last Friday (30 November). Featuring heavily on Scandinavian New Music Friday Spotify playlists and picking up early tastemaker support from blogs like Scandipop, the collective are building a solid buzz for their brand of electro-pop with a dedicated online following for their visuals. With more songs to come next year and their own animated TV show, which will go into production shortly, Cherry, Dyna Mink and Goldie Foxx look like they are set to have some wild adventures and an exciting 2019.
