Lover
We say
Lover is the dreamy new song and first from Australian outfit Little May since their acclaimed debut album, For The Company, three years ago. Now a duo, Liz Drummond and Hannah Field express emotions of anger and self-acceptance in this beautiful production. With echoes of Fleetwood Mac and a touch of First Aid Kit, the track's easy marching beat, along with some gorgeous guitar and piano interplay makes this a rather compelling listen. Produced by Rob Muinos, Dylan Adams & Drummond, the track featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist on release in their native Australia, as well as New Indie & Alt, and can currently be heard on their Office Stereo editorial playlist. Accompanied by a fantastic video, directed by the renowned film-maker and photographer, McLean Stephenson, Lover marks a new direction in Little May’s journey and one, which we are excited to see where it goes next. With over 111m combined streams, the duo are currently touring Australia with The Rubens, having supported The National earlier in the year. Melodic and addictive folk-tinged indie rock.
