London-based Australian singer-songwriter CLOVES first burst onto the international scene with her gorgeous 2015 EP, XIII, which included the beautiful Don’t Forget About Me that has since amassed over 42m Spotify streams and 17m YouTube views. Earlier this year she dropped her first new single, Bringing the House Down, from her forthcoming debut album, One Big Nothing, that had its first play on Beats 1 with Zane Lowe. Now we have this punchy alt-pop behemoth as her latest single and oh boy, does it pack an emotional punch. Written about the last moments of a doomed relationship, Hit Me Hard is a powerful and percussive gem with a driving guitar riff which builds over a simple piano motif into a full-blown foot-stomping chorus. Tastemaker support has come from Consequence of Sound, Billboard, the Line of Best Fit, and KCRW. She has just finished touring the States this summer with Greta Van Fleet and is now getting ready to tour Europe and the UK this October.
