Chaos Killed The Thrill
We say
This tender and majestic dose of grown-up pop comes from London-based singer-songwriter Riva Taylor. Produced by Tim Bran (London Grammar, Birdy, Rae Morris), Chaos Killed The Thrill was written by Riva in Berlin after an intense break-up which saw her pack up her belongings and walk out. Set over a hypnotic drum loop and sumptuous production, Riva’s vocals beautifully weaves the conflicting emotions of the loss of a fading relationship with the optimism of a new beginning in this pop gem. Her gorgeously shot video was premiered by The 405 last week, and her previous single, My Mouth was picked up by Elton John who loved the track and played it on his Rocket Hour Beats 1 show. Further tastemaker support has come from When The Horn Blows, Popmuzik, Born Music and Fame magazine. A confident and dramatic listen. For fans of Florence and the Machine, Emeli Sandé and Adele.
