Los Angeles-based Sharaya Summers is an emerging singer-songwriter whose gorgeous 70’s throwback sounds have captured the hearts of many a listener since the self-release of her debut single, Light of the Moon last year. Having honed her craft in Nashville, this wandering spirit who originally learnt to sing in a church has amassed over 1m combined Spotify streams and garnered praise from the likes of Clash, Idolator and most recently from the Line of Best Fit for this absolute gem. Produced by her husband Jacob Summers and taken from her forthcoming debut EP, Bend Before We Break, Prodigal, is a beautiful, country-tinged indie-pop number with sunbleached vibes and echoes of Fleetwood Mac. With additions to Spotify New Indie Mix and New Alternative editorial playlists, this radio-friendly track is also primed for mellow and coffee themed playlists, as well as specialist plays across Radio 2, 6music and Radio X.
