At the end of November last year, we featured the beautifully brooding and hypnotic single, Guilty by upcoming Scottish singer-songwriter Tommy Ashby. Since then he has performed a number of shows for Communion, the Southbank Centre and AMP Amsterdam, recorded his debut EP, Restless Love, with Grammy Award winner Sam Okell at his home studio in Cornwall and the aforementioned single has been synced to Netflix drama series, The Innocents, which is to be aired this August. Released today, this utterly gorgeous and tender title track to his debut EP (out next week) again clearly demonstrates his knack for crafting heartachingly emotive tracks. From the hauntingly catchy opening and chorus vocal harmony to the slow, pattering beat and softly plucked guitar melody, Restless Love is just simply glorious and deserves your attention. Its perfect for mellow and indie-folk playlists on streaming services, as well as airplay on specialist radio shows and daytime Radio 2, 6 Music and Absolute playlists.
