This sumptuous dose of progressive R&B, premiered by Hunger Magazine and released last Friday,  comes from Indian-Swiss singer-songwriter Ta’Shan. With its empowering nature and body confidence message, Foodie draws on influences from Ta’Shan’s multi-cultural upbringing to bring a unique Indian twist to her fusion of reggaeton, dancehall and R&B. The track has already caught the attention of Yasser on BBC Asian Network who has named it his Record of the Week and the station will feature an interview with Ta'Shan alongside London Live and The Beat FM over the coming weeks. Her previous singles have garnered tastemaker support from the likes of 1Xtra, Reprezent, and Clash among others. Over the upcoming weekend, she will be performing at Lovebox festival on Friday and then on Sunday at Zee London Mela. Foodie is perfect for summer-themed playlists and with its infectious energy, we are sure you will be dancing away in no time at all.
