It’s been a while, over seven years in fact, since we featured the infectious electro-pop debut Ode to the Bouncer by the audio-visual collective, Studio Killers. Since then Cherry, Dyna Mink, and Goldie Foxx have had hit singles in the Netherlands (#1) and Finland (#2 where they are signed to Warner Music) with their debut and follow up single Jenny, which has since amassed over 31m views on their YouTube channel, respectively. Having self-released their debut album in 2013 worldwide (#1 on iTunes US & CA dance charts, Top 10 in Finland), the collective joined forces with Immersive Ltd. (Coldplay, Deadmau5 & Eric Prydz) to produce and create their first Studio Killers live show experience for Finland’s Ruisrock and Ilosaarirock music festivals in 2014 and 2015. Now they are back after a three-year hiatus with this gloriously upbeat and funky electro-pop jam, Party Like It’s Your Birthday. Released last Friday, this feelgood gem is sure to get your feet moving this Monday morning with its blend of Daft Punk, Pharrell and Parliament vibes. The track was immediately added to Spotify New Music Friday Finland and you can catch the latest glimpse into their virtual world with their fantastic animated video. With over 100m combined streams across all platforms, we are sure they are on their way to having another hit on their hands.
