We have been a keen supporter of London-based singer-songwriter Nick Wilson over the last 18 months having featured his beautiful singles Bare and Miles Apart. Released last Friday, All The Same is his first slice of ambient alt-pop of 2018 and sees Nick adopt a sound more akin to Honne or Aquilo in this stirring number. Inspired by the pain that comes with leaving someone you love, the track interweaves textured, cinematic soundscapes with Wilson’s emotive vocals to create a gorgeously evocative and captivating ballad. Like all of his releases, Nick continues to record his songs in his bedroom, which has seen him amass over 13.5m streams and over 450k Spotify monthly listeners, as well as tastemaker support from the likes of The Line of Best Fit, Clash, Spotify and BBC Introducing. It's clear to us that Nick is a gifted songwriter and with this delicate and heart-rending ode we are sure he will find many more fans across streaming.
