Didn't Mean To Care
We say
Let us introduce you to Derry-based Susie Blue and the stunning title track to their self-released debut album, Didn’t Mean To Care. From the outset, the track draws you in as frontwoman Susan Donaghy’s emotive vocals call out to you amidst a glorious blend of shoegazey guitars and rousing indie-rock melodies. Written by Susan about her past relationship struggles and the realisation that she deserves better, the track perfectly captures the rollercoaster of emotions and has all the hallmarks of becoming a new indie anthem. This wonderfully endearing track has already received support from John Kennedy at Radio X, BBC Radio Ulster’s Across The Line, Dan Hegarty at RTE 2FM, and BBC Introducing. Further tastemaker support has come from the likes of Hot Press, Nialler 9, Irish Times, and Front Magazine among others. Currently unsigned, the band are seeking a label and publishing deal, as well as a live agent to help them build upon their tour experience, having toured Ireland and played at numerous festivals last year including Glastonbury and Electric Picnic. For fans of Pale Waves, Wolf Alice and Courtney Barnett.
