We say

It’s been a while, over six years in fact, since we featured Newcastle indie three-piece Little Comets, but it’s great to have them back with this joyously fun and quirky three-minute number. Having been holed up in Frank Sinatra’s derelict former Bordeaux holiday home and a church near Bilbao this winter, writing songs for their forthcoming unnamed fifth album, M62 is the first single of four to be dropped ahead of its release. Full of quaint lyrical observations and pulsating rhythms, the track was featured in Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist upon release and has since been added to The Indie List. Radio support for the track has been building steadily with Kate Lawler naming it her Track of the Week on Virgin Radio to add to plays from 6 Music, Radio X, and Amazing Radio. Not shy of touring, the band will be heading out on a 12 date headline tour of the UK this coming April that will no doubt see them travelling on the fabled M62.
