We say

Clocking in under three glorious minutes is the down-to-earth and heartfelt duet Hurt Somebody by Noah Kahan and Julia Michaels. Originally released last year as a solo performance by Noah, the Joel Little (Lorde, Khalid) produced single is about not being able to end a relationship due to the hurt it will cause. It’s a powerfully intense and emotive acoustic pop song with an infectiously strummed melody, a stomping rhythm and a catchy chorus that is only strengthened by the addition of Julia’s vocals. With over 7.6m streams, and additions to Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist on release, it’s a perfect radio-friendly track that has so far received spot plays from Adele Roberts and Scott Mills on Radio 1. Further tastemaker support has come from Billboard, Idolator, Indie Shuffle, With Guitars, and Indie Obsessive, among others. He will be supporting George Ezra on his forthcoming North American tour before he flies to the UK to play the Great Escape Festival, Dot to Dot Festival and a headline show at Omeara in London on 24 May. Memorable and intimate folk-pop from a rising young singer-songwriter.
